Spatial Genetic Structure and Diversity of Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) from the Southern Yellow Sea and North-Central East China Sea: Implications for Conservation and Stock Enhancement

چکیده
As a wild resource, the large yellow croaker Larimichthys crocea has been seriously threatened since mid-1980s. Owing to implementation of protection measures, such as establishment zone, fishing prohibitions, restocking programs and successful mariculture, its resources have gradually recovered year by year. Limited low spatial resolution incomplete coverage sampling stations, genetic structure diversity croakers from southern Yellow Sea north-central East China remains unclear. In order evaluate status this stock, 22 sites were collected analyzed investigating variability population using mitochondrial COI sequence in study. Among 662 sequences, total 71 different haplotypes defined. The haplotype (h) nucleotide (π) values 0.644~1.000 0.00220~0.00473 respectively. highest h π occurred (YS). AMOVA analysis showed no differentiation among those after Bonferroni correction. By comparing with previous studies, maintained relatively steady recent years. Our result also suggested that South belonged same group. Thus, they can be released management unit without regard for heterogenicity sea area. YS populations serve parents fish fries Sea.

Loss of Genetic Diversity in the Cultured Stocks of the Large Yellow Croaker, Larimichthys crocea, Revealed by Microsatellites
The large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is the most important mariculture fish species in China and the wild stocks of this croaker have collapsed in the past decades due to high fishing pressure and habitat degradation. Due to a lack of wild croaker samples, however, studies concerning the genetic changes of the cultured croaker stocks compared to their wild counterparts were never cond...
متن کاملMolecular and immune response characterizations of IL-6 in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea).
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional inflammatory cytokine which exists in multiple tissues and cell lines. In the present study, the full-length cDNA and the genomic sequence of IL-6 (LcIL-6) were cloned from large yellow croaker, Larimichthys crocea. The full-length cDNA of LcIL-6 was 1066 base pairs (bp), containing an open reading frame (ORF) of 678 bp encoding for 225 amino acids, a 5...
متن کاملMolecular characterization and functional analysis of a piscidin gene in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea)
The piscidin family, which includes potent antimicrobial peptides with broad-spectrum activity, plays an important role in the innate immune system of fish. In this study, we cloned piscidin-5-like type 3 (Lcpis5lt3) in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea). Multiple alignments with other known piscidins revealed amino acid conservation throughout the fish, especially at the signal peptide...

The large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is an economically important fish species in Chinese mariculture industry. To understand the molecular basis underlying the response to fasting, Illumina HiSeqTM 2000 was used to analyze the liver transcriptome of fasting large yellow croakers. A total of 54,933,550 clean reads were obtained and assembled into 110,364 contigs. Annotation to the NCB...
متن کاملTranscriptome Analysis Reveals L-amino Acids as Olfactory Stimulant in the Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea)
Fish perceived small molecules with high aqueous solubility by chemoreception. The chemical senses of fish can be divided into olfaction, gustation and less well defined sense which is represented by the general chemical senses and the existing chemosensory cells [1,2]. Fish olfactory sense can detect four main classes of chemicals (odorants) mainly; amino acids, gonadal steroids, bile acids an...
